whats the seafoam supposed to do?
lilshorty478 on November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am
i had a honda and i used the seafoam and my car smoked like that every time my car cooled off.
enginph on November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am
6 months now. No problem except a nail in the tire. Dont think seafoam is the reason :) And S/C does spin well..
MAXorBUST96 on November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am
wow if you dont know that the smoke is because of seafoam please turn your keys in and never get in a car again

Clarification here for everyone who thinks the white smoke has to do with something wrong with the car. After emptying the seafoam into all the places required and let it sit for a while, when starting it back up white smoke will pour out IT'S SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN!!! This is the carbon deposits burning off, if you don't believe me then continue to be an idiot but do yourself a favour and search up seafoam on youtube.

as if water and contaminants don't mask the loss of oil between oil changes...
enginph on November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am
Well supercharger in milly does go bad but this one is not done yet. First the gaskets break and then bearings are shot due to insufficient oil. My gasket is ok, no oil consumption between changes. I mean "zero" consumption. Seafoam causes white smokes this is the fact. And it doesnt smoke afterwards um for the last 3k miles. The sound comes partially from valvetrain and partially from s/c.
dmkseattle on November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am
The sound are the bearings in the supercharger going bad and the smoke could very well be an oil leak in the compressor contributing to the smoke. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

nope. White smoke comes from seafoam. Dont get fooled by every white smoke you see.. |
